🦸 Explorers: Wh-Questions in the Past
A fully interactive A2 Kids grammar lesson that teaches past wh-questions through a weekend-detective frame. The key structure is Wh-word + did + you + base verb, with the crucial discipline that after 'did' the main verb returns to its base form — 'the hero rests' — so we ask 'Where did you go?', not 'Where did you went?'. Students warm up with four detective questions, then study two grammar blocks — 'Wh + did + base verb' (formula chips, three worked question-and-answer examples and a Remember panel: did = past, base verb after did, go not went) and 'Your Question Words' (a table pairing What/Where/Who/When with model questions and answers). Ten key items (what, where, who, when, did, detective, weekend, interview, cinema, answer) appear in a scrollable vocabulary table, and six review flashcards cover the four wh-words plus the did helper and the base-verb rule. The reading is a magazine-style Weekend Report in which Detective Mia interviews Leo, Kofi and Zeynep, showing past wh-questions and their answers (with irregular past verbs) in natural context and hover-tooltip vocabulary. Practice offers eight contextualised single-word fill-in-the-blank items (wh-words, did, and base verbs) with live green/red validation, hints and a running score; speaking gives five detective interview prompts and a five-line model dialogue; the writing task is a guided 25–45 word set of four past questions with a four-point checklist enforcing did + base verb; and an eight-question quiz mixes past-question grammar with two comprehension questions about the reading, featuring a progress bar, per-question explanations, a conic-gradient result circle and localStorage persistence.
